Main Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate/Assistant Vice President to join our Corporate Banking team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the loan and trade finance administration, developing and managing bilateral or syndicated lending opportunities, and trade finance transaction opportunities.

Job ResponsibilitiesLoan Business
  • Manage all aspects of work for loan and trade finance process
  1. Negotiate and Finalize Terms and Conditions of loan with clients
  2. Prepare for internal credit rating
  3. Utilize KDB Head Office internal loan approval system (KUPID) and credit rating system
  4. Prepare for pre-review report of credit
  5. Organize Branch Credit Review Committee to get credit approval
  6. Review legal documents given by legal counsels
  7. Prepare drawdown review to release funds
  8. Regularly monitor and update customers' financial positions, business status and conduct of account
  9. Conduct KYC for new-to-bank customers and support Due Diligence review for KYC officer in accordance with MAS regulations
  10. Perform market and/or credit research on various corporates, sectors and/or countries as requested
Trade Finance
  • Deal Origination and Negotiation
  1. Regularly contact FIs and corporate clients to find out the potential trade finance transaction opportunities for the following products:
  • L/C (Letter of Credit) and L/C related products
  • Financial Institution(FI) RP (Risk Participation)
  • FI Trade Loan
  • UPAS (Usance Payable At Sight)
  • Forfaiting
  • Corporate Risk Products (Supply Chain Financing, etc.)
  • Unfunded Transactions
  • Other Structured Products
Negotiate & finalize terms and conditions of the products with the clientsFunds Investment
  • Assist Team Head in all funds management related activities including:
  1. Perform site visits to Venture Capitals (VCs) & Private Equity (PE) counterparties
  2. Gather financial info, business activities and business track record from the respective VCs & PEs
  3. Forward above due diligence info to Credit Review Team for writing credit application and subsequent credit approval
  4. Review subscription package and Limited Partnership Agreement
  5. Execute Limited Partnership Agreement
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or Economics
  • 6 to 8 years' Corporate Banking experience
  • Those with 6 to 8 years' financial accounting experience are welcome to apply
  • Business proficiency in written and oral English and Korean is required for daily coordination and sending correspondences/reports in both languages to Korean-speaking clients & colleagues at Headquarters and local staff
  • Strong self-motivation, high level of initiative, supportive and collaborative
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good team player as a part of our Cross-Border Team in KDB headquarter as well as our local Corporate Banking team
  • Willing to be flexible and work outside business hours when needed
