International Trade Document Checker Role
This role is focused on checking and verifying trade finance documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
The incumbent will work closely with the Trade Services Department in Singapore, supporting their L/C Document checking function.
- Perform 1st and 2nd checks of Import and Export L/C documents
- Communicate with customers and internal teams on document status and discrepancies
- Provide professional advice to customers and internal teams on compliance and risk mitigation
- Coordinate and work efficiently within the team to meet daily task objectives
- Ensure adherence to ING's procedures, policies, and guidelines
- Propose improvements for the team and other verticals
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality checking and timely service delivery to TCF customers
- Cultivating team spirit and building confidence in new team members handling document checks
- Continuously exceeding customer expectations: delivering exceptional service and creating a positive experience
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Acceptable tertiary education
- CDCS certified L/C Documents checker
- At least 3-5 years' experience in handling Import and Export L/C Documents checking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)
- Knowledge of Swift Alliance and main accounting systems
- Knowledge of ICC publications – UCP600, ISBP821, ISP98, URR725, URC522
- Effective communication skills for working with teams and branch offices
- Preferably with exposure to TCF business
