Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Treaty Reinsurance Broker to lead our Indonesian market expansion. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of the reinsurance industry and strong relationships with cedants, reinsurers, and regulators in Indonesia.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Clients and Partnerships: Develop and maintain robust partnerships with clients, cedants, and reinsurers, acting as a trusted advisor to deliver tailored solutions that meet business needs.
  • Market Growth and Development: Identify new opportunities across the Indonesian market, focusing on treaty placements in property, casualty, motor, and specialty lines. Expand our regional presence through strategic networking and market engagement.
  • Treaty Placement and Negotiation: Lead the structuring, marketing, and placement of treaty programs with regional and international reinsurers, negotiating optimal terms, conditions, and pricing on behalf of clients.
  • Market Insights and Strategy: Provide valuable insights into market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics within Indonesia, contributing to strategic growth initiatives across Asia-Pacific.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: Mentor junior brokers, foster knowledge-sharing, and collaborate with analytics, claims, and specialty experts to achieve best-in-class outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in treaty reinsurance broking, with exposure to the Indonesian market.
  • Established relationships with cedants, reinsurers, and regulators in Indonesia.
  • A proven track record in originating and placing treaty reinsurance programs.
  • Strong technical knowledge of treaty structures, underwriting principles, and reinsurance wordings.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; Bahasa Indonesia proficiency is desirable.
