Job Description

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of production equipment and plant facilities. Their primary goal is to maintain and implement a preventive maintenance program that addresses all aspects of production equipment and plant facilities.

  • Preventive Maintenance Program: The technician will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, including scheduling regular maintenance checks, performing routine repairs, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Equipment Fabrication: The technician will fabricate jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing processes, ensuring that all equipment is well-maintained and operating efficiently.
  • Addressing Maintenance Requests: The technician will address maintenance and repair requests from various departments, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Logging and Tracking Maintenance Work Orders: The technician will log and track maintenance work orders, TPM downtime, compressor operation hours, hot work permits, and equipment checklists, providing accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Daily Startup Operations: The technician will oversee the daily startup of production and facilities machinery, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly before production begins.
  • Facility Services: The technician will ensure the upkeep of facility services, including air conditioning, sprinkler systems, plumbing, power, and lighting, to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Scheduled Preventive Maintenance: The technician will perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and total productive maintenance (TPM), minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Training Sessions: The technician will conduct weekly single-point training sessions for production operators, providing hands-on training and instruction on new equipment and procedures.
Requirements
  • Trade Certificate: A trade certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is necessary for maintaining accurate records and communicating with colleagues.
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in machinery and equipment repair and maintenance is essential for success in this role.
