Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to oversee the construction process and ensure high-quality work and safety practices from contractors.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, project specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Attend site meetings, progress meetings, variation meetings, coordination meetings, QAQC meetings, and provide ongoing supervision for civil and structural works.
  • Manage and supervise Resident Technical Officers, coordinate with the safety team, and provide an overview of WASH and aerodrome safety management systems.
  • Evaluate construction works impact on client operations and ensure adherence to emergency preparedness protocols by contractors.
  • Verify reports and claims submitted by contractors, inspect work quality, take corrective actions, and report non-compliant materials to the OIC.
  • Resolve main contractors' queries and coordinate works onsite, adhere to shift duty rosters assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 8 years of civil engineering experience, with 3 years in major construction works (deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, flexible/rigid aircraft pavement, supervising & installation of monitoring instruments, and collating of monitoring data).
  • Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by PEB.
  • Accredited as a RE with IES.
  • Able to perform shift work.
  • Experience with airport flexible and rigid pavements is required.
