Investment Opportunities in Commodities

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team and assist in identifying key sectoral developments and assessing investment opportunities across asset classes, including commodities, equities, and funds.

  • Taking part in commodity market research and analysis to inform investment decisions.">
  • Modeling commodity data for specific markets and producing ad hoc analysis based on short-term market developments.">
  • Building fundamental commodity supply and demand models while staying on top of market research and insights.">
  • Conducting research and financial analysis on assigned sub-sectors and relevant companies.">
  • Focusing on developing financial models and presentations for internal evaluation and investment committees.">
  • Assisting in structuring and consummating new direct investments as well as pursuing divestments where appropriate.">
  • Monitoring existing portfolio companies and new direct investments against investment thesis.">
  • Establishing and cultivating relationships with companies, research analysts, and other relevant institutions.">

Requirements

">
  • Excellent academic qualifications in any discipline and a passion for investing.">
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive working experience in financial markets, with a focus on commodity/equity markets.">
  • Commodity investing, macro hedge fund, equity investing, or research experience is favorable.">
  • A good understanding of financial markets and their short, medium, and long-term drivers.">
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong financial modeling skills and the ability to perform fundamental research on the commodity space.">
  • A high level of interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.">
  • The ability to work well within diverse teams and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.">
  • A team player with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.">
  • Familiarity with electronic data sources (e.g. Bloomberg, Factiva, Capital IQ) for business and industry information research and productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, Tableau).">

Prior experience in or familiarity with one of the following sectors is preferred but not essential: metal & mining, materials & resources, commodities.
