Equity Analyst - Commodities

We are seeking a talented commodity-related Equity Analyst to join one of our Commodities trading teams in Singapore. The focus of this role will be to work closely with the trading desk to build out models on equity markets where there is a strong correlation to the underlying commodity that the trading desk primarily trades. The focus will initially be on the Ferrous market and related mining equities but with scope to expand as the desk grows.

**Responsibilities**
- Build equity valuation models based on underlying commodity prices/price forecasts as well as relative value strategies for equity versus underlying commodity prices
- Contribute in the development of trading strategies based on market analysis (short/long term)
- Maintain / develop data visualization dashboards in-line with needs of the trading desk
- Work with the commodity analyst to understand the underlying commodity markets in greater detail to aid with equity price forecasting

**Qualifications/Skills Required**
- Around 3-5 years' experience in equity valuation modelling, ideally with a focus on the mining sector
- Strong modelling skills to assimilate complex and ambiguous data to identify key issues and aid in decision making
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, and Data visualization tools like Power BI. Knowledge of main programming language for data handling would be a plus (e.g. Python).
