Ship Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Ship Management Specialist to oversee the performance of our tanker vessels. The ideal candidate will have sailing experience as a 2nd Engineer or Chief Engineer and possess strong commercial acumen.

  • Advise on shipboard performance issues, monitor and evaluate maintenance and procurement activities.
  • Research technical information related to equipment breakdowns and propose holistic solutions to improve long-term performance.
  • Review and handle EGCS operations and related issues, conduct maintenance audits onboard vessels twice a year.
  • Review and approve the procurement of expensive ship-spares and services for assigned vessels.
  • Monitor and track expenses against budgets, authorizing additional expenditure when required.

Requirements:

  • Sailing experience as a 2nd Engineer or Chief Engineer on tanker vessels.
  • Ashore management experience of tanker vessels.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, OPEX, and cost control.
