Job Title: Master Vessel Coordinator

As a seasoned professional in marine transportation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of vessels. Your primary responsibilities will include acting as the key point of contact for assigned equipment, preparing and communicating voyage orders, and handling vessel/cargo stowage agency nominations and communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary operations point of contact (24/7) for assigned equipment.
  • Prepare and communicate voyage orders, and further instructions.
  • Handle vessel/cargo stowage agency nominations and communications.
  • Ensure all assigned voyages are performed as defined by company-standardized voyage orders.
  • Ensure accurate capture of voyage details in IMOS and other systems, as applicable.
  • Interface with Commercial schedulers, charterer, agents, terminal, vessel/barge owners/operators, and tanker brokers in respect of voyages to and from 3rd party customers.
  • Interaction with Marine Assurance to maintain minimal exposure for cargoes and assets.
  • Work with Loss Control to eliminate or minimize any impairment in cargo quality or quantity.
  • Monitor vessel's bunker ROB and consumption for heating, tank cleaning, and ECA zone consumption.
  • Manage all aspects of voyage costs and cargo documentation related to Operations.
  • Verify and approve Hire payments, freight invoices, and all other secondary voyage costs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Broad understanding of marine transportation business, including marine logistics, dispatching, and general marine transportation processes.
  • Experienced with Dry Bulk operations.
  • Possesses a fundamental understanding of marine risk and exposures to marine liability.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, planning, and organizational skills.
