Job Description

K2 is seeking to engage a Legal Counsel with relevant experience to support its data centre business based in Singapore.


Responsibilities
  • Providing Legal Support: Assess legal risk in respect of contentious and non-contentious matters, projects and regulatory compliance and corporate governance-related issues for K2's global business operations.
  • Drafting and Negotiating Documents: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal and transactional documentation such as customer colocation service agreements, construction-related contracts, joint venture agreements, leases, project financing documentation, security agreements, consultancy agreements and other commercial contracts with varying levels of complexity.
  • Liaising with External Lawyers: Engaging/liaising with external lawyers where required, and managing associated legal expenditure.
  • Process Improvements: Formulating, developing and implementing process-oriented improvements and risk/knowledge management initiatives such as model contracts and clauses, contracting principles/policies, precedent databases, checklists and other tools.
  • Compliance Management: Overseeing the implementation of critical compliance policies, procedures and training.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Preferable Qualifications: At least 4 to 10 years' post-qualification experience within the technology, data centre, telecommunications, real estate and construction industry(s) or sector(s), with construction, real estate and/or corporate/M&A experience, from a top-tier law firm or corporate in-house legal department.
  • Key Skills: Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Proactive and progressive in self-development.
