Job Description:
As a Trade Pricing Expert, you will be responsible for establishing pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability in the Transpacific trade between Asia and the US. You will analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and vessel profiles to determine optimal pricing that achieves business goals.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to drive revenue growth and improve profit margins.
- Analyze market data and trends to identify opportunities and challenges in the Transpacific trade.
- Collaborate with overseas agents and manage daily pricing activities to ensure accurate and timely pricing decisions.
- Monitor service performance and optimize cargo mix to achieve optimal results.
- Support feasibility studies, participate in business development initiatives, and maintain pricing data accuracy.
Requirements:
To be successful as a Trade Pricing Expert, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Maritime, Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics.
- At least 5 years of pricing experience in Transpacific trade from Asia to the US, with a deep understanding of FMC regulations and US geography.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data, and proficiency in MS Excel and other pricing software tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with other departments.
