About the Job
A maintenance technician is required to ensure the smooth operation of plant equipment. This involves daily hands-on troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and repair work for mechanical equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with pumps and gearboxes, including maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. They must also be proficient in welding and adhere to safety protocols.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment or machinery for maintenance purposes
- Daily hands-on trouble shooting, routine daily maintenance
- Repair work for plant equipment. Observes repairs to ensure they are done correctly and efficiently
- Inspect mechanical spare parts such as bearings and seals on equipment for wear and damage
- Carry out dismantling, installation replacement works for faulty equipment or service troubleshooting
- Perform overhauls on mechanical equipment to address issues and ensure optimal functioning
Requirements
- Min an ITE NITEC certificate in Mechanical (Mechanical) or equivalent
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience
- Knowledge of Electrical / Mechanical
- Able to do basic reporting writing
- Independent worker without much supervision
- Good team player who can work well with other teammates
- Positive working attitude
- Willing to learn new things. Self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude
