Marine Propulsion Service Professional

The primary objective of this role is to deliver mechanical service excellence for marine propulsion equipment.

  • Plan, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on marine propulsion equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Generate comprehensive field service reports with high-quality images of before and after repairs for clients.
  • Commission new gearboxes through rigorous testing phases in various environments.
  • Interpret electrical diagrams and conduct basic troubleshooting of faults on electrical systems with limited guidance.
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Manager to prepare detailed parts quotations for procurement of spares for repairs and overhauls.
  • Conduct regular toolbox meetings and ensure adherence to workplace safety and health protocols.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the marine industry, specifically in propulsion-related roles.
  • The ability to diagnose propulsion-related equipment issues with minimal assistance.
  • Willingness to undertake international assignments as required.
  • Ability to be deployed at short notice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
