Job Description:

As a seasoned professional, you will provide expert legal advice to the leadership team on corporate, commercial, and operational matters. This involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts such as vendor agreements, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership contracts.

You will also offer analysis and counsel on a range of legal issues including medical device regulations, intellectual property, employment, mergers and acquisitions, data privacy, competition law, anti-corruption/anti-bribery laws, ethical codes, and sales and marketing related issues that impact our business.

Your role will involve ensuring regulatory compliance by monitoring changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, particularly with regards to FDA, MDR, HIPAA, and other medical device regulations.

You will play a crucial part in identifying and mitigating legal risks across all business operations and overseeing litigation and dispute resolution processes.

In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring proper governance practices, including board documentation, shareholder agreements, and corporate filings.

Furthermore, you will support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives from a legal perspective.

You will develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to uphold legal and regulatory standards. This includes conducting internal training programs to educate employees on legal matters.

As a leader, you will lead and mentor the legal team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. You will manage relationships with external legal counsel and other third-party advisors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10-15 years of legal experience
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry
  • Training at a reputable firm or major corporate legal department is preferred
