Senior Legal Counsel Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime law and at least 8 years of experience in providing strategic legal advice to internal teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and corporate agreements, as well as supporting investment and M&A activities. They will also be required to collaborate with business units to manage legal risks, regulatory compliance, and operational alignment.

  • Provide strategic legal advice to internal teams and coordinate with external counsel to maintain legal standards across all business initiatives.
  • Handle legal matters related to maritime and admiralty law, especially in cross-border or industry-specific contexts.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and corporate agreements.
  • Support investment and M&A activities, including due diligence, structuring, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with business units to manage legal risks, regulatory compliance, and operational alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Law degree (preferably in Maritime Law or equivalent) with at least 8 years' legal experience.
  • Background in commodities, maritime, shipping, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
  • Proven strength in drafting, negotiation, legal analysis, and contract management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities, with capacity to juggle multiple projects under pressure.
  • Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
