Job Description

As a Retail Sales Merchandiser, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by executing visual merchandising strategies and promoting Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) products to medical halls and retail outlets.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Visual Merchandising:

      Implement and uphold visual merchandising standards across various channels to ensure optimal product visibility and brand presence. This includes arranging product displays, creating eye-catching window displays, and maintaining store layouts to meet company standards.

    • Sales Development:

      Generate sales leads and identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to drive revenue growth. Maintain and expand existing customer accounts while proactively seeking new business opportunities.

    • Product Promotion:

      Promote and sell assigned TCM products and supplements to medical halls and retail outlets. This includes conducting product demonstrations, providing product knowledge, and answering customer questions to increase sales.

    • Territory Management:

      Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and developing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.

    • Customer Engagement:

      Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing product inquiries, offering tailored recommendations, and resolving issues promptly. Actively support customers on the retail floor, providing product knowledge and driving sales performance.

    • Team Coordination:

      Liaise effectively with sales promoters to resolve operational matters and ensure smooth execution of sales activities.

    • Relationship Building:

      Foster strong relationships with outlet teams to enhance brand awareness and encourage business growth.

    • Inventory Oversight:

      Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate inventory in retail stores. Coordinate timely replenishment to maintain product availability.

    • Reporting & Analysis:

      Provide regular sales performance reports, stock level updates, and merchandising insights. Highlight display conditions, challenges, and emerging opportunities to inform sales strategies and improve sales performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education:

    A GCE 'N' Level Certificate or equivalent is required. A relevant diploma or degree is an asset.

  • Experience:

    At least 5 years of experience as a Retail Sales Merchandiser is required. Proven track record of success in sales and merchandising is essential.

  • Industry Knowledge:

    Demonstrated knowledge of the trade and industry is necessary. Experience in one or more of the following sectors: General Trade, Traditional Trade, or Modern Trade is desirable.

  • Attention to Detail:

    Meticulous with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy is required.

  • Communication Interpersonal Skills:

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

  • Motivation:

    Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently is necessary.

  • Travel Reliability:

    Willing and able to travel across multiple locations is required.
