About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage annual and specific project and maintenance activities/budgets (both Mechanical and E&I) throughout the fiscal year to achieve department goals.
  • Ensure the application of relevant maintenance strategies and industry best practices for maintenance and modifications in the plant to achieve reliability and availability of plant equipment at the highest level.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained to the highest level of safety to avoid lost time accidents, with immediate response and thorough investigations and corrective actions for all hazardous occurrences and accidents.
  • Ensure all Mechanical and E&I maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with the Company's HSEQ Standards, statutory requirements, Company Maintenance & Management System, and best industry maintenance practices.
  • Establish adequate procedures and systems for maintenance activities conducted within the process plant.
  • Oversee all facilities planning and operations/functions, including maintenance, modification control of equipment, space allocation, move, and construction.
  • Collaborate with counterparts in parent and subsidiary companies on technology transfers to raise maintenance performance standards.
  • Line management responsibility for Maintenance team members.
  • Approval of all work requests for equipment maintenance and modifications related to improvements and safety of process and plant.
  • Approval of requisition for new equipment and maintenance spares.
  • Approval of Contractors' daily timesheets.
  • Approval of the daily maintenance activities and modifications in the plant.
  • Approval of grade change maintenance activities, in consultation with the production department.
  • Planning and managing the shutdown maintenance.
  • Provide training needs of Maintenance team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and competencies to carry out their work in an efficient manner.
  • Assessment and review of in-house contractors' performance and the contract.
  • Undertake special assignments or projects as directed by the Manufacturing Director.
About You

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A degree in Electrical / Instrument / Mechanical Engineering, with years of work experience in plant maintenance.
  • Experience in the chemical industry in Singapore as a Manager or Assistant manager.
  • Experience and knowledge about maintenance of mechanical rotating equipment and static facilities.
  • Experience as E&I Process/Maintenance Engineer at a chemical plant or manufacturing facility.
  • Familiarity with high voltage power supply/MCC, control panel, and/or DCS design and system management.
