Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics planning and execution, with the ability to analyze operations and propose recommendations for improvement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in logistics planning activities, including layout design, space utilization, racking setup, and workflow mapping. They will also analyze logistics operations and propose recommendations to improve processes and reduce costs.

A key aspect of this role is promoting and implementing Lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to boost operational efficiency. The Logistics Specialist will create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), visual management boards, and performance dashboards.

Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with IT teams on Warehouse Management System (WMS) integration during new implementations or system upgrades. They will support the launch of new business operations by facilitating facility setup, manpower allocation, and equipment sourcing.

The Logistics Specialist will utilize tools like Excel, Power BI, and SQL to monitor and report on operational performance. They will develop warehouse simulation models using MS Visio or AutoCAD for planning and analysis.

This role requires ensuring adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards within logistics operations. The Logistics Specialist will contribute to long-term warehouse development plans that align with business expansion goals.

Key Responsibilities:
