Job Description

As a key member of our team, the Technical Operations Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing technical strategies to resolve onboard vessel issues, coordinating and monitoring work/repair activities, and frequently inspecting assigned vessels to verify their condition.

The Technical Operations Manager will also be responsible for monitoring vessel performance, reporting on any defects or malfunctions, and providing training and technical guidance to shipboard personnel as needed.

Additionally, the Technical Operations Manager will develop and implement effective preventative maintenance programs for vessel equipment, evaluate Class and Flag State requirements, and plan surveys accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in senior engine officer roles is highly advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • Proficiency in computer systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  8. Maintain the commercial viability of vessels by addressing damage repairs and modifications.
  9. Track and resolve major technical issues until corrective action is taken.
  10. Oversee lubricant and bunker quality and consumption.
  11. Prepare for vessel repairs/conversions and ensure compliance with specifications.
