Job Title: Vessel Operations Specialist

At the heart of our operations lies a pivotal role, that of the Vessel Operations Specialist. This individual will oversee all operational matters for owned, managed, and chartered vessels. Their key responsibilities include ensuring smooth communication with Masters, Agents, Charterers, Owners, and Brokers on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in accurately managing voyage and post-fixture operations using industry-standard systems such as IMOS and SHIPFIX. They will also be responsible for executing all relevant documentation and instructions, including BLs, LOIs, NORs, SOFs, stowage, bunkering, and port expenses.

In addition to these duties, they will handle freight, hire, laytime (Demurrage/Despatch), and other settlement matters with the accounting team. A strong commercial awareness and analytical skills are essential for this role, as the Vessel Operations Specialist will collaborate closely with internal and external teams to ensure seamless vessel performance.

To be successful in this position, applicants must possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in drybulk shipping operations. They should be able to handle 5-7 vessels independently and have a solid understanding of drybulk trades, charter parties, and industry documentation.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • familiarity with stowage planning, bunker procurement, and cargo requirements;
  • a confident and solution-oriented approach.
