Teaching Opportunities in English Language and Literature

We are seeking a dedicated educator of English Language and Literature who can inspire critical thinking, effective communication, and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in MYP and DP English Language and Literature classes.
  • Guide students in exploring diverse literary texts and real-world communication strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans that balance analysis and creativity in English Language and Literature.
  • Support students with essay writing, oral presentations, and exam preparation in Language and Literature.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.

Non-Teaching Duties:

  • Understand and implement school expectations and policies.
  • Participate in professional duties outside regular school hours as necessary.
  • Supervise students during breaks and unstructured times.
  • Lead/coach an after-school CCA (co-curricular activity).
  • Assist with internal sub coverage and other reasonable duties delegated by the school.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
  • IB teaching experience in Language and Literature is highly desirable.
  • Ability to foster inquiry, discussion, and higher-order thinking.
  • Capacity to engage students with varying language proficiencies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
