Senior English Language and Literature Educator

English Language and Literature Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated teacher of English Language and Literature who can inspire critical thinking, effective communication, and a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons in MYP and DP English Language and Literature classes.
- Guide students in exploring diverse literary texts and real-world communication strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans that balance analysis and creativity in English Language and Literature.
- Support students with essay writing, oral presentations, and exam preparation in Language and Literature.
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.
Non-Teaching Duties:
- Understand and implement school expectations and policies.
- Participate in professional duties outside regular school hours as necessary.
- Supervise students during breaks and unstructured times.
- Lead/coach an after-school CCA (co-curricular activity).
- Assist with internal sub coverage and other reasonable duties delegated by the school.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
- IB teaching experience in Language and Literature is highly desirable.
- Ability to foster inquiry, discussion, and higher-order thinking.
- Capacity to engage students with varying language proficiencies.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
