Teaching English Language and Literature to students at various levels is a challenging yet rewarding profession.

We are seeking an experienced teacher who can support students in mastering the skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IB MYP and DP approaches to language learning, as well as experience teaching English Language in IB or international schools. They should be able to engage students with diverse linguistic backgrounds and design lessons that strengthen grammar, vocabulary, and communication in English Language.

Responsibilities include teaching IB English Language at MYP and DP levels, preparing students for assessments in English Language, and developing confidence in oral skills. The teacher will also need to support writing development, including essays and creative tasks, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure progression in English Language skills across grades.

In addition to teaching duties, the successful candidate will be required to participate in professional development, supervise students during breaks and lunchtime, lead/coach an after-school co-curricular activity, and assist with internal sub coverage according to department needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Applied Linguistics or related field.
  • Experience teaching English Language in IB or international schools.
  • Ability to engage students with diverse linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of IB MYP and DP approaches to language learning.
