Job Description

As a Marine Fleet Training Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and continuously improving shipboard and training operations for Disney Cruise Line. This position is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and monitoring of consistent policies for training procedures and delivery plans.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and supervise STCW/SOLAS training programs to ensure compliance with Flag State certified programs.
  • Design and implement shipboard training programs that meet company standards.
  • Lead monthly Training Officer conference calls, minutes, follow-ups, and closure of scope-specific items.
  • Create training strategies for short- and medium-term shipboard and shoreside professional training.
  • Oversee training compliance with applicable Flag State, Port State, and IMO requirements.

  • Excellent strategic planning and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a diverse environment.

Technical Expertise:
  • Extensive working knowledge and depth understanding of the industry, company, and ships' training systems and operation.
  • Must have great knowledge of regulations governing the Marine industry under IMO, such as ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL STCW, CLIA.
