Job Opportunity: Care Support Associate

Overview of the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Care Support Associate. As a key member of our care delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality resident care under the supervision of a Staff Nurse.
  • Perform various nursing procedures such as instillation of eye/ear drops, application of cream, wound dressing, etc.
  • Assist in serving medicine under the supervision of a duty Staff Nurse.
  • Conduct physical examinations and check vital signs of residents and report any abnormalities to the Staff Nurse.
  • Administer first aid, evaluate residents' conditions, and make recommendations for urgent treatment at hospitals and polyclinics when necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with current medical and nursing practices.
  • Accompany residents to hospitals and polyclinics for follow-up appointments and outings.
  • Assist with mealtime services and help with admission and orientation of new residents.

Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong work ethic. You should also have basic knowledge of medical terminology and nursing principles. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is desirable. Familiarity with infection control procedures and protocols is also an advantage. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
