Job Title: Guidance Specialist

 

We are seeking a skilled Guidance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students-at-risk and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

 

The primary role of the Guidance Specialist is to provide quality school counseling support for students' mental health and social-emotional development. This involves developing suitable school counseling programs, advising school management on counseling matters, and providing consultation and training to staff and parents.

 

The Guidance Specialist will also be responsible for developing and conducting small and large group psycho-educational sessions for students, maintaining case consultation records, and providing regular updates to school management on student progress.

 

To succeed in this role, you should have a passion for working with students-at-risk, empathy for students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working or volunteering with children and youths would be an advantage.

 

Required Skills:

  • Possess a relevant counseling qualification, such as those recognized by the SAC
  • Aware of and sensitive to multicultural issues
  • Resourceful and resilient
  • Fitness and resilience required to engage students safely and carry out duties effectively
