Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business development and growth for our national digital marketplace. This role involves working closely with corporates to understand their innovation needs and matching them with innovative solution providers through open innovation challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, sales, and partnership building. You will be expected to engage with senior stakeholders across various industries, build relationships, and identify new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development and Engagement: Generate, qualify, and cultivate corporate leads, and convert corporates looking to drive business innovation within their organisations.
  • Stakeholder Management and Matching: Scout, own, and deepen relationships with new corporates and multipliers (e.g. government agencies, trade associations) to build the corporate database.
  • Partnership Development: Identify, source, and engage existing or new strategic partners to achieve Innovation team's objectives.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business/Communications/Information Technology or relevant disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in an industry engagement, B2B business development, or partnership role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with the innovation ecosystem is a plus.
