Senior Resident Liaison

The Residential Care Unit Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the daily needs of residents are met and provided with motivation through day-to-day interaction.
- Responsibilities:
- Ensure residents' basic needs are taken care of, including their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Motivation and Support:
- Provide ongoing support and motivation to residents through regular interactions and activities.
- Security and Screening:
- Oversee security screening procedures to prevent contraband entry and maintain a safe environment for residents.
- Facilitation and Communication:
- Coordinate check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring seamless transitions for residents.
- Provide daily updates on headcounts and activities, facilitating effective communication among team members.
- Case Management:
- Work closely with social workers to address resident issues and concerns, providing support and guidance when necessary.
- Programmes and Activities:
- Assist with planning and implementing institutional programs, such as outings and recreational activities, to promote resident engagement and well-being.
- Estate Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of Halfway House facilities, ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Workplace Safety and Health:
- Monitor and enforce workplace safety and health standards, promoting a healthy and secure work environment.
- Transition and Handover:
- Ensure a smooth transition of duties during shift changes, maintaining continuity and consistency in resident care.
- Case Management and Support:
- Collaborate with the Program/Social Work team to provide comprehensive case management and support services to residents.
- Disciplinary Issues:
- Support the grievance procedure and preliminary investigations, upholding fair and respectful treatment of all residents.
