Animal Facility Maintenance and Management Opportunity

This role is responsible for the daily monitoring of animal life support systems, as well as performing preventive maintenance and repair to facilities and equipment.

  • Maintenance includes automatic watering systems, central gas supply systems, lighting management systems, cage and tunnel washers, bulk and tabletop autoclaves, building air-con and building management systems, and card access systems.
  • Additional duties include housekeeping and cleaning tasks, including stocking and maintaining personal protective equipment supplies.
  • Operational records must be kept for equipment such as cage and rack washers and autoclaves.
  • Support with laboratory animal care and other assigned duties is also required.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical or electrical background, with experience in animal facility maintenance and management.

Able to multitask, communicate effectively, and work independently or as part of a team are key requirements.
