We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Loan Capital Market Director to join our team at SMBC Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our loan capital markets efforts and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and provide expert opinions on underwriting applications from a risk control and management perspective.
  • Validate, monitor, and manage the mark-to-market (MtM) for new and outstanding underwriting portfolios, including secondary loan trading.
  • Take charge of responding to inquiries from relevant departments regarding underwriting risk control and management matters.
  • Coordinate the organization of underwriting committees with the Risk Management Department in the region.
  • Monitor underwriting loss guidelines and suggest action plans as needed.
  • Review and update departmental manuals related to underwriting risk control and management.
  • Prepare and manage internal reports for underwriting risk control and management.
  • Develop and implement plans to enhance the underwriting risk control and management framework.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

  • University graduate with a bachelor's degree in finance, risk control, and management.
  • Experience in loan underwriting and/or syndication.
  • Experience in risk control and management for loan portfolios.
  • Experience in credit/loan underwriting analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Business acumen and ability to support business growth in a positive manner.
  • 10-15 years of working experience in the relevant sector.
  • Strong capability in creating reports for risk control and management.
