Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to lead and manage the pastry department in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a cook in a hotel or high-end restaurant, with a proven track record of success in a supervisory role.
  • They will possess a valid Food Hygiene certificate and be knowledgeable in HACCP principles.
  • A dynamic and creative individual who brings a wealth of experience in culinary arts, menu design, and food promotions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the pastry team, maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene, and contributing to the development of new menus and promotional activities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the pastry team to ensure smooth running of the kitchen.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and hygiene in the pastry department.
  • Contribute to the development of new menus and promotional activities.
  • Work closely with the Stewarding department to ensure high levels of cleanliness and low levels of lost and breakages.
  • Effectively respond to guests' requests and be receptive to constructive feedback.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as a cook in a hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Proven track record of success in a supervisory role.
  • Valid Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Knowledgeable in HACCP principles.
