Chef De Partie - Pastry Kitchen Leader
DescriptionAs a seasoned culinary professional, you will supervise the assigned station or section of the pastry kitchen, driving its success in alignment with hotel standards and financial goals. Your expertise will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, while minimizing food wastage and optimizing productivity.
You will assist senior chefs in maintaining high culinary standards, training team members to enhance their skills, and organizing kitchen sections for efficient workflow and maximum output. Your attention to detail will maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the assigned station or section of the pastry kitchen.
- Assist senior chefs in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and minimize food wastage and optimize productivity.
- Train team members in necessary skills to perform their functions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the work areas, equipment, and utensils.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or 3-4 years as a Demi/Commis in a pastry kitchen of a hotel or large restaurant with good standards.
- A Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures Certificate.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
Additionally, you should be familiar with recipes, ingredients, food cost management, productivity, cakes, sanitation, baking, F&B equipment, teamwork, pastry, and safety standards.
