Job Opportunity for a Gardening Professional

We are seeking an experienced and skilled gardener to maintain the grounds of our luxury resort. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tropical plants, irrigation systems, and sustainable gardening practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all planted areas including flower beds, shrubs, trees, and ornamental plants by performing regular watering, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, and pest control activities according to seasonal requirements.
  • Monitor plant health and identify diseases, pests, or nutritional deficiencies in tropical plant species, then implement appropriate treatment plans for plant care, recovery, and disease prevention.
  • Prepare soil for planting, digging, forking, mulching, and seed sowing activities while maintaining proper irrigation systems and ensuring efficient water usage practices.
Landscaping & Aesthetic Management:
  • Ensure all garden areas meet the luxury aesthetic standards and eco-resort sustainability practices by implementing seasonal landscaping designs and coordinating with other departments to minimize disruption during maintenance activities.
  • Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, and trees according to seasonal requirements and landscape design plans, while maintaining neat and organized garden beds with proper mulching, edging, and pathway maintenance.
  • Support special landscaping projects, seasonal displays, and resort beautification initiatives that enhance guest experiences throughout the property.
Equipment & Tools Management:
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment including mowers, trimmers, pruning tools, and irrigation systems while ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and serviced according to safety protocols.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs when necessary to maintain operational efficiency, while also maintaining inventory of gardening supplies, fertilizers, and plant care materials.
Environmental & Safety Compliance:
  • Follow sustainable gardening practices aligned with the resort's environmental commitments by adhering to workplace safety regulations and proper handling procedures for fertilizers and pest control materials.
  • Maintain knowledge of tropical plant species, local climate conditions, and seasonal growing patterns to ensure effective gardening practices.

Applicants should possess an educational background in Horticulture or a related field and at least 2-3 years of relevant gardening/landscaping experience. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently are also required. Our resort values attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
