Senior Tender Specialist Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled professional to lead the tender submission process and ensure tenders are competitive, accurate, and meet client expectations.

  • Review and clarify RFQs during pre-tender and tender phases, raising queries or amendments as necessary.
  • Prepare risk management checklists for leadership approval.
  • Attend site visits to understand project scope and document requirements clearly.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and submission of tenders across multiple systems.
  • Analyse technical details, BOQs, pricing schedules, and contracts to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with project teams on manpower planning, cost estimation, and organizational structure.
  • Optimise quotes to meet target pricing while protecting profit margins.
  • Prepare tender cost summaries for management review.
  • Support leadership in tender interviews and negotiations with clients.
  • Oversee tender reviews and ensure smooth handover to project management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

We require strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are also essential. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will have experience in tender/bid management, preferably in engineering, construction, or related industries. A strong background in risk management and contract analysis would be an added advantage.
