Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Procurement in managing the procurement and contract management function, ensuring compliance with best practices and company policies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with other teams, providing advice and support for their procurement and contract management activities.
  • Work closely with users to review and approve procurement submissions, including expenditure papers, requirement specifications, and recommendation reports.
  • Develop and implement effective policies, processes, and systems for daily operations, ensuring good corporate governance and providing professional advice and training to users.
  • Execute and oversee the development and implementation of aggregation of procurement and contract management activities for common ICT systems, goods, and services.
  • Strategize buys for best sourcing to meet stakeholders' needs and timelines, increasing value and delivering outcomes across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement roles, with good appreciation of procurement and governance best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and conceptual abilities to understand issues and resolve them.
  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly to challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in e-procurement solutions, preferably SESAMi.
  • Experience in setting up the procurement and contract management function.
  • Strong project and people management skills.
