Job Title: Chrome Plating Specialist

The primary responsibility of a Chrome Plating Specialist is to apply uniform chromium coatings on metal or plastic parts using specialized equipment. This involves operating and monitoring chrome plating machines to ensure high-quality finishes.

  • Pre-treatment of surfaces includes cleaning, polishing, and masking as required to achieve optimal results.
  • Chemical solutions are mixed, tested, and maintained according to specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Finished products are inspected for quality, thickness, and adherence to plating standards.
  • Troubleshooting plating defects and adjusting process parameters ensures optimal results.
  • Production and quality records are maintained for each batch processed.
  • Routine maintenance on plating tanks, equipment, and work areas is performed to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Safety procedures are followed during plating activities.
  • Collaboration with engineering and quality control teams is essential to meet customer and production requirements.
  • Training new staff on plating processes and best practices is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in chrome plating or a related electroplating field.
  • Knowledge of plating chemicals, bath preparation, and safety practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and thickness gauges.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
