Job Title: Coating Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Coating Equipment Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing sandblasting of coating equipment and tooling, removing dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces, setting up and operating a blast booth or similar equipment, preparing evaporation materials, and maintaining the sandblasting area.

Candidates must have a strong understanding of coatings processes and safety protocols. They should also be able to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative to improve processes and procedures.

A key responsibility of this role is ensuring the cleanliness and safety requirements of the workplace are met. This includes following standard procedures and guidelines set by the company. The successful candidate will also be required to perform duties in accordance with work instructions and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sandblasting of coating equipment and tooling
  • Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces
  • Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment
  • Prepare evaporation materials and maintain the sandblasting area
Requirements:
  • Secondary education experience or 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • NITEC certificate (or equivalent)
  • Able to pay attention to details, careful & thorough in work attitude
  • Ability to perform machine set-up and simple troubleshooting
  • Work effectively with team members
Working Conditions:
  • This role is 100% onsite
  • Comfortable to work in a clean room environment
  • High noise level and continuous standing and bending
  • Some chemical exposure
  • Willing to work 12-hour rotating shift including weekend and public holiday

Required to wear tight-fit respirator when necessary and safety rules
