Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic professional to operate and maintain steel wire drawing and fiber forming machines. The ideal candidate will have excellent machine operation and maintenance skills, as well as basic knowledge of steel processing techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain steel wire drawing and fiber forming machines, monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operation.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold product quality standards by following procedures, conduct regular inspections to identify deviations or defects, perform tensile testing on steel fibers to assess their strength and durability, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve production efficiency and output, participate in process optimization initiatives.
  • Material Handling: Handle raw materials, WIP and finished products (steel wire) and ensure proper and safe materials handling, monitor material inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain/warehouse team.
  • Fiber Forming and Cutting: Perform fiber forming to required shape as needed, cut fibers to specified lengths for packaging.
  • Packaging and Final Product: Package steel fibers according to guidelines, ensure proper labeling and documentation, collaborate with packaging and logistics teams.
  • Safety and Compliance: Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols, report any safety incidents promptly, contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, including the Production Manager, provide feedback on process improvements and equipment maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A strong understanding of machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of steel processing techniques.
  • Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Relevant certification/license related to machinery operation and safety is an added advantage.
