Steel Wire Drawing and Fibre Forming Operator

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating and maintaining steel wire drawing equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist technicians with setting up and troubleshooting machines.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Support the operation of steel wire drawing and fibre forming machines.
Material Handling:
  • Assist in handling raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products.
  • Support inventory management and coordination with the warehouse team.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
Packaging and Final Product:
  • Assist in packaging steel fibres according to company guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate labelling and documentation.
  • Collaborate with packaging and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
Quality Assurance:
  • Assist in conducting inspections and testing.
  • Support the QAQC engineer in maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Housekeeping and Safety:
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the production area.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Report any safety incidents.
Training and Development:
  • Attend training sessions to learn machine operation and maintenance skills.
  • Participate in the MSOC (Manufacturing Safety Orientation Course) test.
  • Improve English proficiency to enhance communication and understanding of safety protocols.
Education and Experience:
  • Secondary school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in manufacturing.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of operating machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to lift heavy objects and work at heights if required.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively, and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
