Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the development of our fast-paced team focused on rebuilding the market-leading multi-dealer FX trading platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building low-latency, fault-tolerant distributed systems using modern technologies such as Java, messaging systems like Kafka and Solace, backed by both SQL and NoSQL databases, and natively running in the cloud via Kubernetes or Docker deployments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who exhibits expertise in technology and can lead and encourage others in crafting the architecture and implementation of robust and scalable distributed backend systems that power critical financial applications.

The successful candidate will apply their expertise in distributed systems to design and develop high-performance, low-latency, highly available cloud-native backend system solutions using Java and Spring framework aligned with business requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing performance tuning of application code to optimize system responsiveness and ensuring efficient execution of critical market infrastructure services.
  • Participating in code review processes to ensure alignment to our standards and SDLC processes and contributing to the development of clean code with robust test coverage.

The ideal candidate will also participate in architecture discussions and requirement elaborations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or post-graduate degree in Computer Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Strong core Java and Spring skills, with React knowledge being a plus.
  • Finance degree or certifications (FRM/CFA/PRM, etc.) considered a plus.
