About the Team

The HR team at NTU is dedicated to providing exceptional support to our faculty members. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our academic staff.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the School HR Business Partner in managing all aspects of faculty recruitment, including coordinating with the Dean, Chair, and School Search Committee (SSC).
  • Plan, monitor, and track the status of each assigned faculty search to ensure deadlines are met.
Facilitating Faculty Searches
  • Work with Deans and Chairs to establish and appoint School Search Committees.
  • Obtain approval for projected recruitment-related expenses.
  • Coordinate with shortlisted candidates to collect CVs and dossiers.
Candidate Evaluation and Shortlisting
  • Evaluate and shortlist candidates based on their qualifications and experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of SSC evaluations for each applicant.
  • Arrange campus visits and interviews for top candidates.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of search reports submitted by SSCs, confirming they meet policy standards.
  • Compile all documentation required for submission with the search report.
Appointment and Selection Process
  • Support the Chair and Dean in making informed decisions on selecting the best candidate.
  • Facilitate obtaining approval from the Chair and Dean for the final candidate.
  • Collate and submit dossiers and reports necessary for the University's approval process for the selected candidate.
Essential Requirements
  • A degree with at least 2-4 years of experience in human resources or general administration roles; Candidates with prior experience of working in an educational or academic environment would have an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and report writing.

Please note that successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract with full benefits at the first instance. Subject to candidate's good work performance and the University's prevailing guidelines, he/she can look forward conversion into a permanent appointment. Appointment titles (i.e. Senior Executive /Assistant Manager etc) offered will commensurate with candidate's background and prior work experience.
