We're seeking a seasoned finance leader to spearhead financial operations across our global consulting business.

Job Overview

This high-impact leadership role is ideal for a finance professional who excels in dynamic environments and partners effectively with senior stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.

The General Manager, Finance will provide strategic financial guidance and leadership to the business. This role will work closely with the executive team and business leaders to ensure financial reporting requirements are in place to support achievement of strategic objectives and growth targets.

Responsibilities will include leading a small finance team tasked with undertaking management reporting, providing financial accounting and controls, and managing budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Direction and Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Project & Management Accounting: Oversee project and management accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Leadership & Management: Lead a small finance team and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Accountancy or Finance, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a Finance role and 2 years of project or cost accounting experience.
  • A solid commercial understanding and ability to make recommendations to the business.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, working closely with business leaders on financial reporting and information.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and managing a team.
  • International exposure or experience, with proven ability to influence across a global remit.
Desirable Skills

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • Exposure to dashboarding, including PowerBI and SQL.
  • Experience with ERP systems or SAP.
  • Ability to provide accurate and insightful data presented in a clear manner.
  • Strong abilities in financial modelling.
  • Ability to think outside the box and flexibly, with a solutions-driven mindset.
