Reliability Specialist Position

The Maintenance and Reliability Division is seeking a skilled professional to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. This role will play a vital part in driving key performance indicators (KPIs) and supporting the reliability program in the maintenance department.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the reliability program, including predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, plan, and execute improvement projects aimed at enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
  • Lead investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes. Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and reliability metrics.
  • Assist in training maintenance personnel on best practices and new technologies related to equipment maintenance and reliability.
  • Assist the maintenance department in tracking and achieving KPIs related to equipment reliability, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance optimization using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Oversee and maintain food safety processes, including X-ray, metal detector, and pasteurization critical control points.
  • Develop and periodically update standard operating procedures.
  • Assist the project team with new or upgraded project activities.
  • Foster strong relationships within and outside the organization, proactively developing strategic plans to support growth and productivity.
  • Support the maintenance manager in promoting a culture of high compliance regarding equipment maintenance plans, calibration, and food safety-related equipment and processes.
  • Recognize the connection between robust maintenance practices and their impact on food safety and product quality.
  • Promote the use of technology in engineering, maintenance, and reliability engineering, integrating best practices by focusing on external competitors and other industries.
About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering, preferably in a food or pharma manufacturing environment, is required. Proficiency in maintenance management software, reliability analysis tools, and data analysis software is necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills, are essential for success in this role.
