Job Role Summary

A Construction Estimator with expertise in budgeting and cost negotiation is required to work on various infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Planning: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, forecasts, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for projects.
  • Sourcing and Procurement Strategy: Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate terms, and develop procurement recommendations.
  • Project Cost Monitoring: Monitor project expenses, verify progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain project documentation, including contracts, schedules, reports, and meeting records.
  • Support Functions: Provide administrative support to project managers in planning and execution, assist with data entry, and update costing spreadsheets or documents.
  • Site Coordination: Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
  • Value Enhancement: Support value engineering initiatives and propose cost-effective alternatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site visits to monitor works, validating claims, and resolving site issues when required. They will also assist in project handover, ensuring all financial and contractual matters are properly closed.
