Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled construction estimator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related qualifications.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry is required.

About the Role
  • Develop and Evaluate Cost Estimates: Assess risks and contract issues to arrive at final cost.
  • Taking Off Quantities, Sourcing Sub-contractors and Suppliers: Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor, Track Change Orders, Sub-contractors Drawing List and Materials Delivery: Manage project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Prepare Quantity Measurement, Costing and Estimation for Pre and Post Contract Administration: Accurately estimate costs and manage contracts.
  • Prepare Valuations, Pricing and Agreement of Contract Variations, Process Claims and Monitor Project Cash Flow: Ensure smooth project execution and accurate financial reporting.
  • Project Administration and Documentation: Prepare interim valuations, update claim submissions, and prepare final accounts.
  • Evaluation and Certification of Sub-contractor's Progress Payment: Verify sub-contractor payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Tender for New Projects: Develop and submit tenders for new projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Negotiation: Effective communication and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Construction Management: Strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
  • Construction: Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Quantity Surveying: Skilled in estimating, costing, and quantity measurement.

  • Drawing: Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
  • Administration: Organized and efficient in managing administrative tasks.
  • Estimates: Skilled in preparing accurate estimates and budgets.
  • Procurement: Experienced in sourcing and procurement of materials and services.
  • Project Administration: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Civil Engineering: Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Cash Flow: Ability to manage cash flow and financial reporting.
  • Tendering: Experienced in tendering and bid preparation.
