LNG Laboratory Technician Role

This position is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic team as a LNG Laboratory Technician.

As a key member of our LNG Lab team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of LNG cargo. This is crucial for Singapore's energy security.

You will be trained to operate various analytical instruments and Distributed Control System (DCS) software to perform laboratory tests accurately and report results to relevant parties.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory tests accurately using established procedures and enter test results into databases.
  • Communicate test results to relevant parties promptly.
  • Operate online instruments using process plant software and Distributed Control System (DCS).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
  • Participate in ISO-related activities, ensure completion of ISO documentation, and maintain audit-readiness.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma or NITEC in Chemistry or Chemical Process Technology or equivalent.
  • Entry-level candidates may apply.
  • Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in Analytical Laboratory will have an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with ICP, GC, auto-titrator, physical properties analyzer will be advantageous.
  • Meticulous, systematic approach to work, with basic understanding of laboratory practices, procedures, and terminology.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Computer literate with effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours due to LNG shipment operations.
  • Willing and able to work night shifts and withstand varying weather conditions while operating field site sampling equipment.
