The Vice President of Financial Crime Advisory Global Private Banking (GPB) Singapore is responsible for providing oversight and management of all aspects of financial crime risks including impact analysis of regulatory changes, and driving coordination and execution of various financial crime compliance work streams and assurance.

  1. This includes ensuring the business remains compliant with local Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations through ongoing collaboration with business stakeholders in managing of financial crime risks, and where appropriate, raising practical challenges to ensure controls effectiveness are sustainable
  2. You are required to build and maintain strong partnership with the GPB Business team (includes Trust and Fiduciary Services), Client Life-Cycle Management team, Chief Control Office, Other Lines of Business Financial Crime (FC) colleagues, Local Compliance teams and Regional Risk and Compliance teams, working in collaboration with key stakeholders to drive the implementation of Group and Local FC policies and GPB Standards, through ongoing advisory while balancing risks and controls.
  3. Key responsibilities include holding knowledge and skills on key regulatory requirements including existing requirements, as well as additions and/or changes to MAS626 Notices and Guidelines, Information Papers, Industry Best Practice Papers, to ensure accurate interpretation of and proactive and effective consultation provided to business for purpose of practical implementation of the regulatory requirements.

This role will also be heavily involved in performing gap analysis on the regulatory papers as mentioned, in conjunction with Business, and will support the development of strategies to mitigate identified gaps and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

This is an important role within the Financial Crime Advisory team supporting GPB Singapore and Trust and Fiduciary Services Business and is expected to work with stakeholders across the organization to drive the implementation of effective financial crime risk management practices.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of financial crime regulations, including AML and CFT, and have experience working with businesses to manage financial crime risks. They will also have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and provide effective advice to stakeholders.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders, and will have experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
