Operational Excellence Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing vessel movements, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine operations, with experience in managing teams, resources, and risks. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, including ship masters, clients, and regulatory authorities.

  • Support project leaders in managing all operational activities.
  • Oversee vessel movements to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Work with managers in areas such as HSE, procurement, crewing, maintenance, and repairs to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime laws, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Communicate with stakeholders including ship masters, clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop and execute operational plans such as cargo handling, stowage, tow arrangements, and voyage scheduling.
  • Assess and mitigate risks in marine operations, coordinating with safety teams to conduct risk assessments, implement safety procedures, and handle emergencies.
  • Manage resources including fuel, supplies, and vessel equipment.
  • Monitor and control operational costs and assist in budget development.
  • Suggest and implement workflow improvements to boost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and problem prevention.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Marine Management or at least 3 years of relevant marine operations experience.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin to liaise effectively with teams, authorities, and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
