Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement long-term and short-term strategies for improving vessel condition and operational performance.
  • Responsible for all vessel's drydocking, major layup repairs, new equipment installations - regulatory or company specific, and any major projects, including new building projects.
  • Maintain close relationships with key stakeholders within the organization, sea staff, statutory organizations, clients, and third-party service providers.

Main Objectives:

  • Be guided by the organization's Group Vision, Mission, Values, and KPIs.
  • Develop a robust database of project costs, repair locations, to facilitate intelligent data mining.
  • Create a standardized repair specification software for quotes comparison, work progress tracking, and final invoicing.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent disciplines, preferably with a minimum of 2 years of sailing experience as a second officer.
  • Experience in handling extensive layup repair projects for 2 years.
  • Technologically driven, comfortable working in a digital environment, logical process development.

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for efficient logistical arrangements and spares scheduling for cost-effective logistic costs in coordination with the ship manager and procurement team.
  • The individual will develop training modules for seafarers for improved seafarer awareness, improved planning, and performance during repairs.
