Supply Chain Operations Director Job Description

The role of a Supply Chain Operations Director is to oversee and optimize the warehouse and supply chain operations, focusing on efficiency and alignment with business objectives. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams including logistics, marketing, and sales to ensure seamless coordination to meet operational goals and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, retailers, and resolve any arising problems or complaints from customers.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
  • Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize lead times and costs, ensuring on-time product delivery.
  • Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes, and process shipments.
  • Implement effective warehouse management practices to streamline stock or inventory handling, storage, and order fulfillment processes for retailers and customers.
  • Able to meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
  • Monitor market trends, customer demands, industry developments to implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Supervise, coach, and train warehouse workforce for any issues or challenges that arise.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experiences in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership and dynamic team player with the ability to motivate team, foster good relationships, and collaboration, therefore achieving great outcomes and results.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Strong decision-making skills, problem-solving skills.
  • Details-oriented, results-oriented, and good time management skills.
